Although the shutters of the Galo art Gallery have been closed since the beginning of this year Galo has been busy in the gallery with his new body of work for his upcoming show Bad To The Bone. You can expect lots of faces, women from another dimension and lots of colors.
The Galo Art Gallery will become the Galo world once again starting on the 9th of February with the inauguration. Not only will there be a new body of work on canvas but we have also gone wild with the merchandise this time. We will have a very limited edition of pillows, t-shirts, scarfs, fabric shopping bags and some other surprises in store. Also a new limited edition screen print in series of 50 made by our friends from Sericraft. We hope you can join us on the 9th of February from 17:30 – 21:00 at the Galo Art Gallery.
During Galo's 10 years in Amsterdam, Galo became one of the European forerunners of street art and has collaborated and exhibited with artists of global importance. He has exhibited Europe, Japan and the United States. Galo moved back to Turin, Italy in 2007 where he currently lives and works. In 2010 he opened his private gallery Galo Art Gallery in Turin. The Galo Art Gallery is strongly linked to the international post-graffiti scene, and this is also where he makes his art an instrument of immediate communication. His subjects are the result of accurate artistic research on the chaotic but not casual passage of people, expressions and situations of the contemporary. His materials are the most diverse, from acrylic to spray from canvas to plastic.
