More than two hundred and fifty objects and over a hundred photographs, mostly from the Musée de la civilisation's collection, tell the history of Québec City from the perspective of the city's economic activities.

The exhibition highlights the presence and evolution of the city's transportation infrastructure, which was unavoidably connected with its economic sectors.

Québec City's commercial past and present are shown in parallel to illustrate how the past has shaped the capital region's economy.
