Joshua Tree Art Gallery, the center of a vortex of creativity for over ten years, is excited to present the talent, energy and diversity of Mojave Made to the Los Angeles area.

The growing artistic community of the Mojave is as varied and resilient as the local flora. Artists are attracted by the astounding geology, the wild life, the history and mythology, the space, the light and the silence of the desert.

The artworks in the Mojave Made exhibit, organized by Barbara Spiller, include collages, paintings, encaustic prints, digital paintings, constructed artworks, and sculpture. According to Spiller, “Like the nearly 2,000 species of plants that manage to survive in this extreme environment, artists respect individual space, share resources, dig in, and produce tough and beautiful results.”
