The opening of Catherine Ahnell Gallery | freerunning art corp started with a Pop-Up Event in the Spring of 2013 at 29 Mercer Street-NYC.

The event was in collaboration with MoMA Film Festival for the Award Winning Movie “Rengaine/Hold Back" directed by Rachid Djaïdani, featuring french artist Yassine “Yaze” Mekhnache and work from his exhibition “Wandering” that later took place at the gallery.

All paintings for the Solo exhibition “Wandering were made during “Yaze’s” residence at Catherine Ahnell Gallery | freerunning art corp. Rachid also filmed parts of a documentary film”Encre” (Password : encrelefilm) at the gallery following Yaze for one year from Paris, Marroko, Algeria, The French Alps and New York.
