Lionel Tréboit was born in 1966. He graduated at the “Beaux-Arts de Paris” in 1989 and lives and works in Paris.

The urban landscape is the recurring subject of Lionel Tréboit’s paintings. He aims consist of transcending the urban reality and reveal an “urban poetry”.

Following the light effects, his paintings seem to sometimes appear, sometimes disappear. Indeed, his artworks play with “the first impression of a picture that appears obvious, then deceptively obvious”. The urban space and the human figures suggest him new reality layouts.

Created from photography and drawing, his painting reflects a symbiosis between real and imagination.

Lionel Tréboit exhibits in France, like in 2016 at the “L’Orangerie du Sénat”, and in the United States.
