Turner Contemporary’s Portfolio competition recognises and celebrates the creative talents of pupils, students and educators across Kent, providing a platform for artists of all ages.

On display in the Clore Learning Studio are the winning works from the 2018 competition, which received over 1700 entries in response to the theme Art, Animals & Us.

The original, thoughtful and varied pieces that emerged from this year’s Portfolio competition are testament to the incredible work taking place in schools, colleges and other educational provisions to encourage self-expression.

They also speak of our complex relationship with other animals and an increasing awareness, from an early age, that our actions have direct impact on the planet and those we share it with.
