For the past few years, Farber has been making paintings comprised of multiple thin layers of clear acrylic pouring medium.
Paint is applied both to the wet medium and in between layers, as well to ink and collage materials. This layering adds a third dimension. Most paintings in the exhibition were started over two years ago. Imagery includes a girl, an elephant, a chubby tiger, "Stop" and "Yield" signs.
Farber's work is in the permanent collections of: MoMA, New York; MOCA, Los Angeles; LACMA, Los Angeles; West Collection, Pennsylvania; Olbricht Collection, Essen and Berlin; National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; and Winnipeg Art Gallery, Winnipeg.
