The Chinese veneration of mountains goes back to ancient times, expressed in ritual activities, escape from society, and aesthetic appreciation of their vast beauty.

In three sections, this exhibition will introduce the geography, art, history and legends associated with famous Chinese mountains, as well as contemporary Chinese photographers who use mountain imagery both literally and figuratively.
