Mark Hachem Gallery-Paris presents "Decompositions of the Movement" a solo exhibition by the Korean artist Son Seock presenting his most recent artworks.
Seock is a great admirer of works by Eadweard Muybridge, inventor of chronophotography in 1873 that allowed the first studies and decompositions of the movement, including watching the race of a galloping horse.
Inspired by that, each of his paintings seems to be inhabited by several motifs, although visible separately and intermittently, depending on the position of the person looking, the passage from one to the other is done by a chromatic vibration and a slowly changing color palette.
