A professional photographer since the age of 19, Fred Ivar Utsi Klemetsen embarked on a 15-year personal journey to trace his Sámi roots through photographs. The resulting images give an honest and true presentation of modern Sámi life and culture.

The Sámi are an Arctic indigenous people whose homeland stretches from the Kola Peninsula in Russia, through northern Finland, Sweden and Norway. Learn more by viewing the photo gallery.
