Berlin Blue art presents The Body Is In The Eye, an exhibition with works by Agata Czeremuszkin-Chrut and Marina Roca Die.
Even though the focal point of their paintings is the human figure - a theme widely explored in art - their images surprise us with a fresh take on the subject, that combines contemporary painting with a nod to classical paintings. Both artists have very different perceptions of the human body.
Marina’s figures are transformed to hybrids that combine human with animal or plant elements; they are constantly in motion, building and reshaping their bodies. Agata exploits the material and organic aspect of a body by reducing it to a set of living, pulsating tissues, whose structure may easily be associated with fresh, twitching meat.
