The Oriental collection comprises Islamic and late Ottoman artworks, as well as textiles, carpets, and icons.

Works in this collection were donated to the Sursock Museum following major exhibitions that led to the publication of volumes such as Icones melkites (16 May–15 June 1969) and Art islamique dans les collections privées libanaises (31 May–15 July 1974).
