Fresh from shoots in Paris and Budapest, photographers BJ and Richeille Formento are riding high on a wave of critical acclaim. Following the highly publicized success of their series Circumstance, Japan Diaries, and She is Cuba, Taylor | Graham is excited to present a crop of the duo’s most stunning photographs, as well as a sexy, surreal, and shocking group of works from their current project, Hysteria. These images juxtapose beauty with upheaval; chaos with optimism. Luxe and eye-catching, their work explores a decadent universe in which sensation and sensuality reign supreme.

Formento & Formento have been featured in numerous high-profile international publications including Vogue Italia, L’Uomo Vogue, Aesthetica, and Musée. This Spring, they received a solo feature and two separate covers in the May/June 2017 issue of Ideat as part of the French magazine’s new special edition. The 120-page spread spotlights their exclusive Surreal Paris shoot—augmented by couture from Gucci, Cavalli, Valentino, and Lanvin—featuring photographs that blur the distinction between high fashion and high art in a mode that is uniquely Formento.

Formento & Formento: Cherchez la Femme! will exhibit a selection of their most recent photographs in conjunction with New York Fashion Week (September 7-15). The show will run from September 11-22 at Taylor | Graham, 32 East 67th St., third floor. A reception will be held the evening of Wednesday, September 13th, with the photographers themselves in attendance.
