The Summer is almost over. And I know, that sucks. But the end of the sunny weather also bring us new seasons of our favorite TV shows and some new ones too. So I decided to make a list of the shows that I’m most excited to see this Fall.

Wednesday, September 6

You’re the Worst - Season 4 (FXX)

I love this show so much! I think it’s one of the best adult comedies on TV. The writing is really smart, which is uncommon in sitcoms these days. It has quirky characters and unique situations. And we get to observe horrible people being horrible to each other in strangely funny ways.

I can’t wait for the new episodes. Last season ended up horribly for Gretchen (Aya Cash). And I’m really curious to see how the writers will deal with that. And hey, a double episode premiere! That is a great way to start things up.

BoJack Horseman - Season 4 (Netflix)

BoJack Horseman is one of the funniest animated shows that I've ever watched. And it is definitely on the top 10 of my favorite shows airing at the moment.

Not much information about season 4 is available yet. But the hope is that BoJack could make considerable progress as a person this time.

The third season hinted that he may have a daughter that he doesn’t know about. I wonder if a child will help him change things in his life or if he will simply ignore the responsibility and keep repeating his mistakes over and over again, spiraling further into depression. Probably the later.

We will find out that in September.

The Deuce - Season 1 (HBO)

I have high exceptions for this one. It was created by David Simon and he has made incredible TV shows before (The Wire and Treme) The Deuce will follow the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York of the early 1970s and continues through the mid-1980s.

Sounds like something that only David Simon could pull off.

Wednesday, September 13

Broad City - Season 4 (Comedy Central)

It was a long wait, but the two funniest girls from NYC are back! And I’m pretty sure season 4 is going to be hilarious. Broad City always had a killer lineup of guest stars, and this season won’t be different so far, RuPaul, Steve Buscemi, Shania Twain and Wanda Sykes are confirmed to appear on the show.

Season 4 will be treating "Trump" as a swear word, and bleeping the word out of episodes and we will finally learn how Abbi and Ilana met. Nice!

I encourage everyone to give this show a chance. You will not regret it.

Thursdays, September 14

Better Things - Season 2 (FX)

Better Things was a pleasant surprise for me last year. It's certainly not for everybody. But If you liked Louie, you'll probably like this show too. It is smart, funny, well written, well shot, and well edited.

Season 2 will probably have more of Sam (Pamela Adlon) balancing motherhood with work and life and everything in-between.

I’m looking forward to it!

The Good Place - Season 2 (NBC)

Honestly, I don’t like to watch broadcast network shows. But The Good Place is definitely is an exception to this case.

The first season followed Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), who wakes up to discover she has entered the afterlife after being struck and killed by a tractor-trailer. Eleanor has been able to enter a heaven kind of place called "The Good Place." However, she finds out she has been mistaken with someone with the same name, and must hide her past in order to remain in this place.

Season 1 ended up with a huge twist and I really want to see where the writers will take the story.

Sunday, October 1

Curb Your Enthusiasm - Season 9 (HBO)

Curb Your Enthusiasm is without any doubt the show that I’m most excited about in this whole list. Last time we saw Larry David, he had brought his social assassin talents to NYC, and that was in 2011.

Curb is probably the funniest show ever made. And Larry David the funniest man alive. So the hype is real, people.

HBO has announced a number of guest stars who will show up in the new season. And the list is insanely awesome: Elizabeth Banks, Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Ed Begley Jr., Carrie Brownstein, Nick Offerman, Nasim Pedrad, and Elizabeth Perkins.

Seriously, I cannot wait for new Curb Your Enthusiasm!

Mr Robot - Season 3 (USA)

The stakes are high for Mr Robot this time. The second season wasn’t well received by critics as the first one was. Now the show needs to bounce back.

I thought season 2 was fantastic, an under appreciated masterpiece. But I do understand why some people may have found it slightly less interesting. Too much experimenting. Like the Angela and Whiterose meeting and the whole sitcom episode (even Alf made and cameo on it). I loved all these experiments, I thought it was very creative and fun. But most people aren’t ready for it.

I love the show and I really hope that Season 3 will live up to my expectations.

Stranger Things - Season 2 (Netflix)

The first season of Stranger Things caught everyone by surprise. Personally I think season 1 was a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, tough. I liked it. But I just didn't buy all the hype about it..

For the new season, The Duffer Brothers (the showrunners), mentioned that they were trying to change things up a bit. I think they are trying to prepare people for a different tone. I have a feeling that it's going to be a darker season.

I hope season 2 will really be different. And not only about 80's nostalgia.
