We are delighted to present LoveJordan's first solo show with Woolff Gallery.
Since showing with Woolff Gallery in Miami 2016, this hardworking, collaborative art duo have achieved enormous success at a number of artfairs, as well as in the Woolff Gallery group shows. Their latest body of work demonstrates the broadness within their practice, offering a humorous and captivating selection of artworks in the distinctive LoveJordan style.
LoveJordan is the combined work of London based artists Jonny Love and Samuel Jordan. The pair work in a variety of mediums and produce a wide range of interesting and intricate pieces. Mostly known for their scaled-down libraries made entirely from tiny pieces of folded paper, and their tongue-in-cheek miniature paint displays, LoveJordan are fascinated by complexity, en masse, sprawling cities, and the human desire to fill empty spaces. They have created an impressive body of work exploring these themes including: Excessively large ink works of London seemingly flowing into infinity.
An estimated 36,000 ink and pencil coloured tessellating shapes on a single piece of paper / A miniature library made entirely out of paper containing over 100,000 elements / An elaborate marble run with 66 entangled tracks / Thousands of found publication dots and commas gathered on a single canvas / Paintings created by the human reaction to sound and noise.
Many of these pieces will be on display at the show, along with a selection of fabulous new works - this exhibition at Woolff Gallery promises to captivate and delight any viewer, we hope that you can join us.
Over the years LoveJordan have been commissioned by a variety of high profile clients including the BBC and the Saudi Royal family, aswell as a number of corporate and private collectors. The pair have exhibited widely across the UK, Europe, Aisa & in the USA. Please contact us for a detailed CV.
