Chris Beetles is pleased to announce the opening of the annual Summer Show.
This year's highlights include: a remarkable group of 17 atmospheric works by George Haydock Dodgson (1811-1880), illustrating the scenery of the Whitby and Pickering Railway, one of the most impressive collections of watercolours and oils by Albert Goodwin (1845-1932) to have been featured in the Summer Show for years, including the stunning large-scale oil, 'Four Miles to Portsmouth'.
A selection of works by the distinguished wildlife illustrator, John Norris Wood (1930-2015), whose career pioneered the approach to scientific and natural history illustration, will also be featured. Chris Beetles Gallery is also delighted to be representing Anthony Green RA and James Butler RA whose works also feature in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
