40 chief works by Alfred Kubin enter in the newly created Graphic Cabinet into an enchanting dialogue with the author Radek Knapp.

It is the question of all questions: who am I, where do I come from, where am I going? Radek Knapp seeks the answer in a fanciful tale based on select graphic works from all periods of Alfred Kubin’s oeuvre. Alfred Kubin's work comprises more than two thousand book illustrations. Radek Knapp has reversed the dialogue between author and illustrator, with the writer reacting to the artist’s images.

The result of this unusual project is an exhibition as a story – or rather a story one can walk through. The Hour of Birth – fantastical, original and enchanting.
