Imitate Modern is excited to announce the exhibition of Acclaimed French/ American Visionary artist and fashion designer Chloe Trujillo, who is set to display her distinctive works of art in a special exhibition titled "Visionary Fashion" at our new gallery space, 19 Shepherd Market, during London Fashion Week. The week long exhibition will commence with the opening celebration on Saturday 18th February from 5:00PM-8:00PM.
Influenced by elements of alchemy, mysticism, and esoteric art forms, California-based artist will be featuring her idiosyncratic works of art on special scarves - made in Italy with silk from Lake Como and fine "Voile de Coton" - and showcasing elements, symbols, and inscriptions from various paintings. Finished with hand-roll stitching, each scarf is as unique and precious as it is a meaningful work of art. Her scarves are currently sold at Colette in Paris, Bacci's in Vancouver, Smets in Luxembourg, Jades in Dusseldorf, New Toyoshima Boutique in Japan, Joan Shepp in Philadelphia and Lola K in Monte Carlo.
A noted artist, musician, and fashion designer, Chloe has exhibited her unique scarves and distinctive works of art in acclaimed exhibitions and solo shows in Paris, California, and London, amongst others. She has been part of LA artwalk, and has exhibited at Copro Gallery, Santa Monica. In addition, Chloe has collaborated on touring shows in DC, NYC, Istanbul and Berlin. Her works of art have also been featured in auctions in Paris, Beverly Hills, and Malibu. Recent exhibitions include Renzo Vesentini in Milan, Italy, and Le Pop Up concept boutique in Venice Beach, California. Future exhibitions include, and as yet to be officially announced highly anticipated exhibition in Paris and the South of France. This will be the second exhibition Chloe will have done in London.
Raised in Paris by fashion designer parents and an Opera singer grandfather, Chloe Trujillo grew up surrounded by music, beauty, art and design. Fascinated by science however, she took a different path studying matter structure and quantum mechanics at university. Yet the spirit of art remained, and this spirit called her back. She has since enjoyed success as a fine art designer and musician. Chloe lives in Los Angeles with her husband, metallic bassist Robert Trujillo, and their two children. She balances her time between art, fashion and music, infusing each piece and project with the love and excitement she feels while creating.
