greengrassi is pleased to announce David Musgrave's sixth solo exhibition at the gallery. The show will include new large-scale drawings, an aluminium machine, a stick figure cast in titanium and two panels painted in oil. All the works embody the artist’s preoccupation with self-reflexive making, where conceptually rigorous procedures open out into the realm of myth.
David Musgrave was born in 1973 and lives and works in London. He has recently held solo exhibitions at Marc Foxx, Los Angeles and Luhring Augustine, New York. His work has been featured in many institutional exhibitions, including most recently The Noing Uv It at Kunsthalle Bergen (2015); Être Chose, CIAP Île de Vassivière; Quiz, Galeries Poirel, Nancy (2015); The Universal Addressability of Dumb Things, Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool, Nottingham Contemporary and De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill-on-Sea (2013); Slow Looking, Tate Britain (2012); Transparent Things, Kunstverein Freiburg (2011); Bigminis, CAPC, Bordeaux (2010); and Front Room, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (2010).
His recently published novel Unit is available from the gallery.
