Martin Tinney Gallery, Wales' premier private art gallery, presents its Christmas Exhibition.
Showing some of the most outstanding, unique and innovative work by leading Welsh artists, new and old, this year's vibrant, seasonal exhibition has something for everyone.
Rosemary Burton's new works headline the display. Rosemary has a strong, contrasting colour palette that is beautifully moderated by the soft lines formed by torn paper, used to express gentle, delicate floral silhouettes. This contrast between colour and form gives a remarkable balance to her work. The unpredictable nature of her technique adds a spontaneous and exciting element, making each piece unique. The overall effect is striking and very beautiful.
Rosemary says of her work:
"Flowers are a part of my earliest childhood memories, one of which is of the family walks with my father pointing out the beauty, shapes and names of wild flowers."
In addition there will be an extensive, evolving exhibition by leading and emerging Welsh artists. Works that capture, reveal and express the people, the places and the nature of Wales will be available.
The exhibition will include work by - Ceri Richards, Sir Kyffin Williams, Gwilym Prichard David Jones, Peter Prendergast, John Petts, Harry Holland, Kevin Sinnott, Shani Rhys James, Eleri Mills, Gareth Parry, Sally Moore, Claudia Williams, Sarah Evans, Mary Lloyd Jones, Vivienne Williams, Sigrid Muller, Keith Andrew, Keith Bowen, Darren Hughes, Martin Collins, Susan Gathercole, Iwan Gwyn Parry, Sarah Thwaites, Catrin Williams, Meirion Ginsberg, Karina Rosanne Barrett and many more.
