‘Within These Walls’ is a local artists exhibition, aiming to unearth the vibrant and colourful character of the historic city of York. Through an eclectic mix of individual artistic expression, the exhibition aims to celebrate the lasting impression of the city by touching on the themes of memory and environment.

An array of vivid paintings and prints of the city’s landmarks encapsulate the visual memory of living and working within York’s medieval walls. Contemporary ceramics and reclaimed glass pieces that observe the juxtaposition of the historical against York’s recently attained 'City of Media Arts' title will also be on display.

The exhibition will feature printmaker and watercolourist Jane Duke, ceramicist Emily Stubbs, contemporary artist Suzanne Dekker and painter Mark J. Braithwaite.
