For the second year we are hosting a mixed exhibition called “Street Legal” featuring both established and hot up and coming artists in the street art/urban genre.
The 2015 line-up is: Bambi, Robert Hilmersson, Plastic Jesus and Nick Walker.
Plastic Jesus
Plastic Jesus can be easily defined the hottest street artist of the year. His street pieces and installations executed in LA and London since 2012 keep on catching the world’s attention.
Most notably the ubiquitous "Stop Making Stupid People Famous" has become one of the most talked about street pieces ever, going viral on blogs, social networks and being shared by magazines, newspapers, street art fans, casual watchers and celebrities including: Miley Cyrus, Charlize Theron, Juliette Lewis and Banksy himself among others.
Artworks, street pieces and installations by Plastic Jesus have been featured on the most important newspapers, magazines, art & design blogs worldwide, so far including: CNN, CBS, ABC News, the BBC, Inside Edition, The Daily Mail, The Huffington Post, Playboy, Buzzfed, Complex Art & Design, LA Weekly, TMZ, LAist, Melrose & Fairfax, The Mirror, The Guardian, the Verge and many more.
Bambi
Dubbed “the female Banksy”, Bambi is an incognito street artist. A St. Martin’s Art College graduate, she has been active spraying graffiti around Islington (London) for the past 5 years. Many of her street pieces are still visible at different locations and she has received wide praise for her public murals of figures such as Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Queen and a famous portrait of Amy Winehouse in Camden Town.
Her first solo exhibition at Walton Fine Arts Gallery in November 2012 was a massive success and from then she rapidly went on to become an established name in the urban art scene worldwide. Bambi’s artworks have been collected by many celebrities including Rihanna, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Adele, Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow and Harry Styles just to name a few. Enjoying great exposure in both national and international press and TV, Bambi revealed she used to have a prominent career in the music business as singer. There has been speculation over what her real identity might be but to this day it still remains a well-kept secret.
Nick Walker
Born in Bristol in 1969, Nick Walker is one of UK’s leading artists creating beautiful freehand work with the help of stencils. In 1992 he began to combine stencils with my freehand work which allowed him to juxtapose almost photographic imagery with the rawness which evolved from conventional graffiti styles.
An internationally renowned artist and one of the leading figures of the street art wave of the 90's, Nick Walker is famously credited for having introduced Banksy to stencils.
Robert Hilmersson
“A colourful, symbolic artist with humorous elements” as defined by the Swedish national press, Robert Hilmersson has exhibited his artworks in London, New York, Las Vegas, Stockholm, Budapest, Seattle and Gothenburg.
Robert has a keen interest in photography and refers to pop art (Andy Warhol in particular) but also to Banksy and the street art culture as a source of inspiration. His works sold to celebrity collectors such as legendary 80’s pop star Adam "Prince Charming" Ant, Swedish members of the Sainsbury family and at world famous auction house Sotheby’s.
Robert Hilmersson’s premiere solo exhibition took place in November 2014 at Walton Fine Arts.
