Shipyards, docks and engineering works provide the visual background if much of Peter Knox’ s work. The industrial scene and the landscape of the streets of a previous era are elements which have informed his artistic vision. His work has received international acclaim and a permanent exhibition of hos paintings is held in The National Maritime Museum.

Gail Pope has focused on still life compositions, merging abstract use of perspective and plane with realism in terms of objects and floral studies. Her work is distinctive and easily identifiable, but not, as yet readily available, as she is painstaking in her approach to each piece and highly selective in terms of her choice of gallery space.

Graham Muir says technically and creatively he no longer feel shackled by blowing the glass. However, whether it be the tight control of form and colour required in his sculptural ‘bottles’, or the physical strength required to manipulate his large irregular wave forms, he feels at this moment he is pushed close to the limits of his technique.

The path this search for beautiful glass has led him on, although frustrating at times has also been very exciting too. He does not know exactly where in the future it will lead his work but believes as long as what he produces is idea led and follows the motivation outlined above, his work will be going in the right creative direction and he looks forward to what new works lie ahead.
