W3 Gallery is pleased to present Anthropomorphic, the solo show of Illustrator Misha Zaccour from Thursday 5th February to Sunday 22nd February 2015.

The exhibition is a curated selection of the artist's most recent oeuvre which explores anthropomorphism within the context of art history. The theme of animals taking on the shape and traits of human beings has been a long and enduring one, with a rich and diverse history in children's illustration in particular. But why do the fantastical images of our childhood remain with us as we become adults? And moreover, what do these wild, animalistic creatures reveal about ourselves as human beings?

Families are invited to a drop in art educational workshop for children at W3 Gallery, inspired by the exhibition. The children will receive a brief tour and have the opportunity to create their own anthropomorphic illustrations in response to the exhibition. Visitors can choose to keep their work or have it displayed in the gallery as an interactive part of the show (Every Saturday 10 - 12 and every Wednesday 3:30pm - 5pm / £4 per child).
