Welcome back to the Wall Street International, I will start this interview to ask you about your next exhibition "Human Rights" that you will present in Dili, how are you are feeling today, since you are less than a month to inaugurate the exhibition?

Hi everyone, once again thank you for your support. I'm feeling expectant, a little nervous because to me is a great honor to represent Portugal in East Timor and have a exhibition of “Human Rights”, also in this wonderful country that suffered so much to be as a independent country.

Tell us how was the process of creating this exhibition, how long it took to do it and how you felt preparing “Human Rights”?

It is a recurring theme in my pictorial work, I paint the atrocities committed in relation to humanity. It is not the first time I do an exhibition, based on Human Rights, the first was in 2012 in Human Rights?, in Italy curated by Roberto Ronca. The experience was so intense that participated in two editions of 2012, 2013 and in this year 2014. These exhibitions were so good, but i only had the opportunity to show one work in each exhibition, but it was interesting to have been chosen to represent my country.

This exhibition in Dili is the most important because it is individual, took over 2 years to complete and I can tell you that I am very happy to show the final result.

For this exhibition, have you had any support from your country?

Yes, I had the support of Camões, Cooperation and Institute of Language, that in partnership with the Embassy of Portugal in East Timor, organized and supported a number of events that we will hold in Dili.

I want to take this time to thank Margarida Machado, she has been 100% committed to throughout the operating process, curatorial, an example and proud to have a person with this level of excellence in a Portuguese institutional organ.

We know that you were invited to a live painting performance, how do you see this invitation?

I was very pleased with the invitation to the live painting and at the same time very nervous because it is very difficult for me to do a work for the Timorese people is a huge responsibility, there is a strong connection to the Portuguese people, I hope to pass all my experience and also very apresender with Timorese culture.

It is the first time that you present your work in Asia, is there a long-term project for this continent?

Yes is the first time that I show my work in Asia. This exhibition will be the first of several, i have planned for 2015 a circuit across the continent, starting in Singapore and passed through several countries. I prepared this exhibition with great love is my new step and I hope not to disappoint visitors.

For 2015, what is your ultimate goal is to achieve?

My goal is to continue paint every day and that people feel in the mood to see my work and follow my career. In terms of exhibitions, I wish my paintings continue to reach the largest possible number of people, who like art. Thank you for your support and WSI will hopefully continue to support contemporary art, as they have been doing.
