Counsellor, Piotr Rakowski, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. from the Embassy of Republic of Poland in Dublin will officially open the show.
The Exercise - is an exploration through various artistic installations of how the concepts of repetition and multiplication relate to the concept of space.
Repetition as a main theme in this exhibition is present in the sphere of advertising, errors, schemas, as well as rituals. However, a ritual is more than a mere repetition. It is a method of enchanting the World. It represents the form as well as its excess. It is the way of creating the space “from – to”. Multiplication and repetition symbolize the transition from the external to the internal.
