Gormley’s Fine Art, one of Ireland's leading art galleries are delighted to be hosting an exhibition of works by multi award winning photographer Tony Moore in their Omagh gallery. The exhibition will feature 20 works of Irish scenes captured beautifully in Tony’s striking style. The exhibition opens on Friday 5th September at 7pm and runs until Tuesday 30th September.
Tony, a fine art photographer based Co.Tyrone specialises in landscapes, commercial premises and architecture. In 2013 he won “Photographer of the Year" and "Shot of the Year" from Omagh Photography Club. He is dedicated to the expression of captivating light in his subjects. Of his work Tony said “Modern cameras, as good as they are, by their fixed mechanical nature, cannot see the way our eyes see and therefore record the range of light in a flat emotionless manner. Through the digital darkroom, I attempt to re-capture that light and feeling that existed when the exposure occurred and bring life back into the scene creating mood and depth with a three dimensional feel.”
Commenting on the exhibition Gerard Gormley from Gormleys Fine Art said “We are delighted to be hosting an exhibition by one of Ireland most exciting up-and-coming fine art photography artists. We regularly exhibit at art fairs across Europe and there seems to be much more acceptance of the work that goes into fine art photography and it is given much more exposure than in Ireland. However increasingly we are finding Irish collectors are taking an interest in photography and giving it the respect it deserves.
The full exhibition will be available to view online on Tuesday 26th August at: www.gormleys.ie
