Blackburn Artists’ Society was formed in 1946 to promote, in a friendly setting, the appreciation and practice of all forms of fine art among both professional and amateur artists and sculptors and to give members the opportunity to exhibit and sell their works.

We are a society that, while striving for a high standard of art and having a distinguished record of achievement, welcomes into its ranks all with an interest in art, whatever their ability or experience.’
