Gabriel

Enslaved Gabriel planned a slave rebellion for August 30, 1800. Gabriel, a skilled blacksmith was inspired by the American and Haitian revolutions to seek freedom for the enslaved in Virginia. His plan was to capture Richmond, the Capital of Virginia, the State Armory, and to hold Governor James Monroe hostage to negotiate freedom for the enslaved of Virginia. The rebellion was delayed by one day due to a severe thunderstorm, but more critically, thwarted by the betrayal of two enslaved people loyal to their masters. As a result, the rebels were arrested, tried, and executed.

Denmark Vesey

Denmark Vesey, a free man and successful carpenter, planned a slave rebellion to occur in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1822. Freedom for himself was not sufficient; Vesey desired to liberate all of the enslaved. He was inspired by the Haitian revolution. Vesey’s plan, which included enslaved and free Blacks, was to execute enslavers, free the enslaved in Charleston, and flee to Haiti. His plan, however, was discovered and thwarted due to his betrayal by two enslaved people more loyal to their masters than to the enslaved. The aftermath was brutal for those involved as well as other enslaved and free Blacks.

Two heroic challenges to the system of slavery were put down due to the betrayal of those whose love and loyalty to their masters was greater than the freedom of their own enslaved brothers and sisters.

African Blood Betrayers:

An “African Blood Betrayer” is one who possesses African blood but betrays his own people as a result of extreme psychological impairment. The self-hatred experienced by this individual is expressed as contempt for and indifference to one’s racial, ethnic, familial, and cultural background. This psychological impairment is caused by the internalization of white supremacy ideology related to the inferiority of one’s own racial/ethnic/cultural group and the superiority of whiteness. The African Blood Betrayer has internalized the values of the master and has a preference for the values of the master rather than their own traditional values.

Why does one with African Blood betray another of African blood? Ultimately, the emotional needs of this individual are met by possessing attitudes and acting in ways that seek to achieve white approval and acceptance. This distorted sense of self causes this individual to lack any sense of empathy or compassion for the struggles of others with African blood. In the case of the betrayers of Gabriel and Vesey, their actions, approved by the masters, gained them their freedom as they proved their loyalty to the master as opposed to others of African heritage.

The hallmark of African Blood Betrayal is in Africa itself. In the “post-colonial” era, these betrayers were the tools of the colonials to maintain control of the continent and its resources. African leaders who believed in African independence were betrayed by colonial-invented coups, their leaders assassinated, and the African Blood Betrayers given positions of power and material wealth. As their countries languish from poverty and hunger, these leaders allow colonial and imperial powers to exploit their resources. Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, and Muammar Gaddafi were the victims of African Blood Betrayers.

A new young leader, Captain Ibrahim Traore, has emerged as the leader not only needed by Burkina Faso but the whole of Africa. Like Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara, and Muammar Gaddafi, Traore knows and believes in the true essence of Africa. His every action refutes the narrative designed by the colonial and imperialistic powers, characterizing Africans as primitive, ignorant, and dependent savages needing their guidance and control. Traore understands that a pivotal moment in Africa’s history has emerged. Traore is an independent, self-determined leader who intends to lead Africa in its reincarnation and return this land, which contains resources needed by the entire world, to its prior glory.

As might be expected, the colonial and imperial powers are experiencing extreme fear of what Africa can again become. At this very moment, the colonial and imperialistic powers are hard at work seeking to prevent the unity and rebuilding of Africa. They are designing ways to remove Traore from power; over 18 attempts upon his life and numerous coup attempts have been made. They are using as their tools, African Blood Betrayers to denigrate Traore and spread lies about his motives. These delusional betrayers seek acceptance, approval, and corrupt gifts from their masters. Foolishly, they believe that they are accepted and assimilated into the cultures of the colonial and imperial powers, forgetting that they, too, with one drop of African blood, are in reality perceived as inferiors. Because of their psychological impairment of self-hatred and contempt for this leader with African blood and for Africa, they are the willing servants and agents of betrayal for their masters.

It is especially crucial for the youth and masses of Africa to remove leaders who serve their masters as African Blood Betrayers and to let the world know that Africa will no longer allow its betrayal by these colonial and imperial tools. The youth, in particular, must use social media to expose the self-hatred and contempt of these African Blood Betrayers who continue to serve their masters rather than support the unity and prosperity of Africans. This is the moment, the 21st century, when Africa must be united, reclaimed, and returned to its glorious legacy.
